Welcome to the Bowdo Lure website, I’ve been making wood lures for over forty years, it’s been my passion and a hobby. I’m now in my mid-seventies and I spend most of my days making lures, it keeps my mind active and I get enjoyment from it. I make my lures the old fashion way on a wood lathe, I don’t use a copy machine or anything like that. I make my lures in small batches each one is unique; no two lures are exactly the same.

55mm wide body Minnows

The 55mm is a wide body minnow it has a fast action and dives 0-2m depending on line and tow speed, they all differ slightly. They are a good lure for a wide range of fishing fresh and salt water.

60mm wide body Minnows

The 60mm wide body Minno has a fast to medium action and dives 2-4m depending on line size and tow speed they all differ slightly; they are a good all-round lure for fresh water species and salt water.

70mm wide body Minnows

The 70mm Minno is much the same as the 60mm except it is a little bigger and may dive a little deeper,

80mm wide body Minnows

The 80mm is a good lure for trolling for yellow belly and cod in the impoundments it has a good swimming action, it would also be a good lure for salt water, I only use stainless steel for the tow points and hook hangers.
